Super sans plomb vers normal stuff

Can't afford the proper stuff anymore, will it be bad news putting normal unleaded in the tank? is it just a performance issue or more complicated?

Hi, I get slightly better mpg with the super duper stuff, but other than that ??? I'm pretty sure S2 engine's adjust themselves to whatever grade of fuel ?????

they do adjust, you'll lose upto 20% performance and lose a few mpg but if you are pottering about then it might make sense. I'd try and stick to 98+ if you can but she'll run fine on eco-juice too

Cheers guys, thought so, sure it was run on unleaded for ages at some point up to 10p per lt difference is a lot.

Well after a few months running on the cheap sh** I've seen the error of my ways and gone back to Super sans plomb. Car absolutely hated it, didn't run right at all, that'll teach me to be a cheep skate. for the differance in price it's just not worth it.

Running tuned cars on 95 RON, which were tuned for 98 RON (stock car runs pretty much fine on 95 RON) can in the long term cause damage...
