    electrical sensor problems

tearing my hair out at the moment....Electrics are really not my thing and I have what feels like the mother of all tasks to do to put my car right.

with vems I wired p259 ch6 (12v output) to ground instead of analog ch6 (input) whilst trying to install a launch control switch. I know........

I have sent the ecu to hungary for repair and its been replaced with a new unit so it's not the ecu...I should be so lucky.

I'm taking a wild guess that this has burnt out a trace or wire somewhere and has maybe broken ground to a few sensors but not 100% on that, my electrical knowledge is very limited.

    CLT reads -40 (assumed open)

    MAT reads -40 (assumed open)

    dash rpm doesn't work

    Low oil pressure light flashing

and sounds like running on 4\5 cylinders

any ideas where there may be a smaller than usual trace or wire that may have blown\burnt out that is common to all these things?

    Thanks in advance electrical guru's

after digging around and jabbing with a multimeter

    turned out running on 3/5
Which was a bad contact on a POS

Dodgy vems EC36 connector with a few intermittent pins.

one toasted mat sensor too...my fault.

I suspect that we will see more people hiding under chairs in the future as they find out that working with VEMS is not for the untrained.

I say leave the tuning to the professionals. If they screw up, they have to replace the parts that they killed.

You dont need to be untrained to short something. **It happens.
