poss cooling problem

over the last couple of weeks i`ve noticed that the coolant temp seems to be getting up to the 90 degree mark quite quickly, especially in standing traffic, i know the weather has changed butit just seem to grt there alot quicker than usuall, the fan comes on ok though could it be the water pump? its never been changed whilst ive had the car. its done 75000 miles the coolant temp sensor was changed about 18 months ago any ideas?

Could be a stuck thermostat.

Changed that at the same time about 18 months ago

Check for leaks, sometimes it'll do funny things if not up to the correct pressure.

i have that problem rusty but struggling to find the source of the leak

Check the plastic coolant outlet on the back of the head above the gbox..

Don't think there's a leak as it doesn't seem to be losing any coolant
