    Fuel injectors not opening

i have a problem with my 20vt competition. i almost finished swapping the engine. today i tryed to start the car but it didnt want to start. ive checked the injectors and no fuel is coming out. the fuel pump is running under cranking and ive got fuel in the lines. but the injectors dont wont to open. i was thinking, could this be a faulty chamchaft position sensor ?

Check the fuses under the motor cover as the injectors are fused off them

i already checked all fuses, i measure 12v on the injector cable with the ignition turned on.

ive read someting about a safety feature of the ecu, when the car is in an accident and the engine stops the power to the injectors is cut off. the ecu im using comes from a car that has had an accident. could this have something to do with it ?

I answered on quattroworld as well. You need to investigate the S72 fuse as well as the Holding relay click here . Having a good ground for the ECU is also important (the ECU grounds the injectors at the precise moment and duration to match the fuel requirements and if the ground is ******ed then the injectors will not open).

just put the ecu in my urs4 and it runs fine. so i think i can say that the ecu is not the problem. also pulled a fault code: 4411. Injector cyl #1 N30 -Open circuit/short circuit to earth -Short circuit to positive. any ideas how to check and measure the wirering to the injectors ?

Find pinout for ecu and check continuity between earth pin in each injector and matching earth pin in ecu plug, thats a start.

                    check this:

Then you need to check for 12V at the injectors (red-striped Black wire from the holding relay - which supposedly is okay) and the S72 fuse.

i have 12v at the injectors, when is measure from the injector to the cam cover i measure 12v and when i measure between the two cables in the injector connector, i measure also 12v, so thats ok i think. i also did test the injectors and isv by pulling codes and then move the trottle, they all click 5 times. seems ok to me.

                            injector test info

FUEL INJECTOR TESTS: After removing the jumper wire, code 4411 will be blinked out by the LED, indicating injector #1 will be ready for testing, open the engine hood, place your fingers down on fuel injector #1 and then open and close the throttle with your other hand. #1 Injector should click 5 times and then be quiet, place your fingers on Injector #2 and again open and close the throttle, Injector #2 should click 5 times, place your fingers on Injector #4 and open and close the throttle, Injector #4 should click 5 times, repeat for Injectors #5, then #3, after doing the last injector test on #3 the Output test will switch to testing the IDLE STABILIZER VALVE (ISV). You should hear this Idle Stabilizer Valve clunk open and closed. If you go back inside the car, the LED should now be blinking 4431.

This is NOT making any sense (as you know). Did you pull the fuel rail and injectors as a unit and place the injectors in 5 glass jars and try to start the engine to show no flow to the injectors?

What about the fuel pump? How do you know it is working? Have you jumped it via the fuel pump fuse (supplying 12V to the downstream side of the fuse holder)?
