    rattle in the engine

I have a rattle , it is only between 2000 and 2500 revs. I have recently changed the cambelt, all the belts on the front side the waterpump and the guiding role.
But still I have this rattling noise , I think it is the AC pump(the sound comes from the right side). I was wondering if I could just remove the belt, so that it is not driving anymore? My Aircon isnt functioning, need to be refilled I think, so I will not miss it.

    thanks again ,

There shouldn't be a problem in just taking the belt off. Mine didn't have a belt on it when I bought it and has since had the AC removed (as have a few others on the forum) and is fine.

ok, thanks. I hope that is the rattling. If not I think it has something the cambelt.

try taking the power steering belt off and running the engine see if teh noise is still there. The PS pump can be the root of some weird noises!
