Engine mounts - Can you confirm?

Looking at ordering some engine mounts from 034 and just want to check which ones i need.

Its for a 96 ABY with aircon, so after searching the forum i believe i need 2 offset mounts.

    Can someone confirm this please?

    Cheers

    Will

Don't forget Bambridge on here makes very nice solid ones and is working on a semi solid version, save on the carriage and silly import taxes

I decided against solid mounts as i'd rather not have the extra vibration. Bambridge's semi solid ones are only in proto-type stage i believe and I kinda need mine soon. Otherwise there would be no question, i'd go to bambridge! I have his solid subframe bushes and they are sweeeeeeeeeeeet!

At your power level unless your going for planning for an upgrade use OEM or wait for the bambridge mounts, wouldn't waste time with the 034 stuff

No power updates as yet, but my plan is to buy a 2nd engine next year to build for 400-450bhp for which i'd like some upgraded mounts. but i'd like them now so i dont have to buy 2 sets. I'll give bambridge a shout and find out eta.

Will, I have just put new OEM ones on the engine and gearbox and have noticed the difference. I would echo Jamo's comments, that unless you are going for stupid power stick with the OEM ones.

              Cheers,

              Steve.

A few folk (high power/abuse) on motorgeek have torn the 034 mounts apart and I think Hank now adds weld bead around his ones to prevent this.

Well I plan on 450bhp in maybe 12months time and dont ideally want to run a set for just a few months...but I suppose I can sell them on after.

I've spoken to Bambridge and might be able to get a set off him pretty soon so i think i may go down this road.

Seperated 034 mount from a bad batch, but they can be reinforced.

I'm in the process of installing my engine mounts when i dropped one of my new ones accidentally. the base separated from the mount itself. i looked it over and it doesn't seem like anything cracked or was damaged, and that the two pieces were only ever just slide together(the slide back...

I got custom made PU motor mounts for my UrS. 'AnLe' on our Finnish forum made them and soon when I get the engine rebuild and running we see how they work.

Cant you put a longer bolt thro, then put a ally plate/big washer on the bottom to stop them pulling apart??
