Siemens Deka 630cc/660cc Direct fit? Best Place to buy?

As above, it looks like the siemens deka injectors are widely considered to be pretty good for a tuned car (my ur quattro project circa 400-450bhp)

Are these injectors a direct fit, heigh and loom wise to an AAN?

Also, where is the best place to get some from, price and delivery wise?

Unless I should go for something else? they must be direct fit really.

    Thanks
    Angus

Deka's aren't good. For some reason they have some cult following on this forum.
Their minimum specified pulsewidth is at 1.5ms.
On I5 at idle you will be much lower on these injectors.

I would go for Bosch 550 or 600cc injectors:

They are linear to 0.7ms, which is what you need for I5 at idle.

They idle bad on Motronic too...
And it's not that much idle itself, maybe you can even get it more or less satisfactory, but then high idle will be messed up etc...

It's because they are not linear anymore after 1.5ms. So you can not compensate for it...
Maybe you can get it to idle decently at 800 rpm, but it will be bad on 1300 rpm etc... the manufacturer does not specify them below 1.5ms at all, so...

Funnily enough.... I was just looking at options on 550cc in the event that finding all the latency info for the Volvo 415cc turns out to be a ball ache.

Seeing as Bosch made the 440 NLA - it doesnt seem crazy to step up to its bigger brother - especially if the min pulse width is *lower* on those vs the 150 558 data we have... It gives heaps of headroom for all the folk wanting to go above RS2 performance... even at 400-450bhp - that injector has lots in reserve.

Do you trust that website data ?

I'll see if I can dig up another reference point as well.

The only 'gotcha' I can see with those 550cc injectors is they have an EV6 connector fitment - versus the older EV1 we have on our old machines... but the boys in the good ol USA have these for sale... I'm sure they are available in EU too.

Isn't it weird that we can thank the Mustang community for stuff like that - and the Corvette boys for LS1 derived coilpacks too... Bizarre !

Deka's have proven results which can't be knocked on I5 and the Bi-Turbo, good injector for the money although there are better ones out there from Bosch

I'll just keep an eye on this before deciding... it would be nice to order some monday so i can bring them back to the UK. I want them just in case, as the there is no more headroom on my RS2's.

Kinda inching towards chancing a set of Volvo 'Green Giants'. At the same time, I can get the 558's but only in a V8 set which makes it rather pricey... unless i settle for chinese knock-off's.

Doesn't make it more true, because you keep repeating it.
They don't have specified IPW for I5, and they have suboptimal spray pattern for BiT. It's pretty known that there are issues with Dekas in the 2.7 community.

But hey, you'd know because you tuned many of these, right?

550's are not a straight fit, you need spacers and adapters.
