Can anyone recommend a corect quantity of G12+ coolant for S2 3B Coupe?
I thought 3.0 litres? Is this OK?

Dont think you can use too much, its all good stuff... the more highly concentrated it is, the better it is in cold conditions.

I dont think you can over do the amount, so long as some water is in there

More than 50% is useless. Remember that water has better heat transfer capabilities than the coolant.

The whole system is about 8 liters.

Agreed...too much is bad. I tried 4.5 ltrs in mine and it ran hotter than with the recommended ratio. Porkkis is right, water is far better for heat transfer. The additive is only there to prevent freezing and provide corrosion resistance.

Related to this subject... I will be feeling a sample of everyones water pipes, as I'm convinced that my system is airlocked somehow... assuming I get to Combe in its first proper drive since the link pipe changes.

The damn air bleed screw on the pipe into the bulkhead spun off when I was refilling the system so I had to bleed air from the top of the radiator. But it doesn't seem to bleed properly from there at idle - plus you get sprayed with hot coolant. NNggggggggh

Paul, you need to rev the engine at 3k rpm for a moment with the rad bleeder open (pretty cold engine of course!). That prbably helps.
