    UrS6 running hot.

last week, the car was stuck in the traffic under 38C degree at night.

it was a very hot day right here.I noticed the temp gauge started to

climb up gradually more 2 thin lines on the gauge but not oveheated.

    well,i switched off the aircon

and rev the engine with hoping the viscous fan will be working faster.

well, the gauge needle dialed back but not in the normal operating temp

position.i took the car to replace the viscous coupling fan from another

    car,replaced the good known radiator,new T-stat in,water pump has

3-40000kms on clock but no luck finally.

the engine is running fine, smooth on idle,no significant coolant lost.i need to pour

300-400cc coolant once for 2 months for some loosen coolant hose clamps.

no coolant out of the tailpipe.the car pulls very strong.the temp is just fine

when cruising, hard driving.the temp only climbs up only when it was sitting

on idle for long time or just driving hard, temp climbing up when take it stationary

    afterward.

    TIA.

Maybe you should reduce the % of anti-freeze in the circuit to increase the specific heat capacity of the coolant during this hot weather?

        Interesting article:

Network Solutions - Original domain name registration and reservation services with variety of internet-related business offerings. Quick, dependable and reliable.

Also if you know someone with an infra red thermometer you could measure the temperature of the radiator at different places to check that there are no dead / blocked areas within the radiator.

Have you many bent fins preventing air flow?

Yup,i'm going to purchase infrared gun to check the temp on the radiator core for this issue.going to remove water pump on tomorrow to see if anything goes wrong on it.
