Hi all, filled up the 3B today when to start and started for a second then nothing, turns over but will not start. Left her for about half an hour and exactly the same again, fired up then stopped anyone got any ideas where to start.
Not to sure how to test it, where abouts is it under the left side just in front of the rear wheel?
You don't need to remove the fuel pump to test it. But you do need to provide it 12V power, bypassing the J17 fuel pump relay that is energized by the ECU during cranking. To do this, you apply 12v power through a spade connector to the downstream side of your fuel pump fuse. Prior to doing that, you need to break open the fuel line from the tank at the firewall and add a hose leading to a container of some type. A good pump will give you about 675 cc in 15 seconds of power.

Tested the relay it is working, lifted the access plate out of the boot to gain access to the fuel pump, am I glad i filled it up just before it died. Turned the engine over and could not hear or see the pump working, have a cracking spark but no fuel at the fuel rail. To that end I believe the pump is goosed. Have tried looking on the Forum for fuel pump numbers as evrey where I ask say there is different ones. So I am asking which type and part number fuel pump does the 3B have.
