    Cambelt Change - Torque Settings

Hi all - the ease with which the crank bolt came out leads me to think mine wasn't 450nm - but everything was in fine condition with no problems. From walking out to the garage and getting the tools out to all belts off and new ones to go on - about 40 minutes

    So...

    450nm for new bolt torque?
The 4 bolts holding that whole thing (about 3 pulleys and crank pulley) together - what torque setting for that please?

Hoping to set a new world record for I5 timing belt change (helps with no aux rad of course, and 5 minutes flat to get front off) as it's raining on and off/blowing a gale and I'm getting rain down me **** crack

    Cheers all

Cheers for that m8 - what torque for the 4 bolts holding the pulleys together? Or will 'tight' do?

      Cheers

And one more thing before I finish my tea and get wet again (though now the sun is shining - this weather report was brought to you by...)
332 lb ft in 'old money' is 450nm give or take, yeah?

Off the top of my head, 25nm for the four allen headed bolts that hold the vibration damper to the cam pulley wheel. Make sure you use some thread locking compound, just in case

Aye cheers - the tensioner bolts turned disconcertingly past 12lb ft without clicking (supposedly 15...) Left 'em at that rather than do the old 'shear off and swear' trick.

25nm doesn't seem much for those 4 on the pulley either - they may have been thread locked up or something I guess - Will do at 25 anyway ta Steve.

My swedish repair manual (found it on the net, but seems very official) says 20 Nm + 1/4 turn (90°) for those four allen bolts.
