    180k

Well, my s2 has passed its 180k mark.. and im planning on fixign the head gasket and some hoses as things are geting old and worn under the bonnet.

You you guys recommend me geting rid of the k24 turbo and geting something bigger + chip?

Or should i settle for what i have and not take risks with the engine being so.. used.

RS2 turbo is the tried trusted traditional upgrade step. A little more lag down low, but lots more torque when on-song mid range and of course lots of extra power up top. Do it properly though with RS2 injectors, intercooler and exhaust manifold. Some internal tweaks on the ECU are needed for this mod. Myself or Mihnea can help with that and the chippery...

Haha - there are never any warranties on upgrades Ski - not from anyone. At that sort of mileage you have to be sure about the health of your engine. Whilst the RS2 turbo *can* be mapped to provide stock-rod bending torque in the mid range, it would perhaps be best to err on the side of caution and go for milder programming or even wiser to rebuild the bottom end - at least new rings, a hone job, bearing check and get the moving parts checked for cracks etc. It all boils down to time and money of course. Change your fuel filter as well !
