I'd say the first one was causing the second. Put a new lamda on, and don't forget to clear the old codes by pulling the ECU fuses for a few mins.

..thinking i've plug or coil faulty so wondered if this could cause the faults? Checked last week and 537 wasn't there!

Thanks, I'm going to have look at the plugs and coil packs first then check the colour of the lamda this weekend if time permits (working all weekend). Convinced i have a faulty plug or coil.

Plugs are NGK, coil packs and rubber bits look fine. Checked for faults today and there are none ?

Driving the car its very hesitent, hit the accerator from idle in first gear and its almost like its flooded for a few seconds then picks up. Performance is very poor also.. any thoughts or experience with this ?

Disconnected the battery, car garaged up with optimisor to keep battery up for the last month. Apart from having a small fire in the car it now drive's fine with no problems or faults. !?!

Been lucky that only the trim in the boot requires replacing, could have been worse.
