    Hi,

Which crank can I use in AAN engine with dual mass flywheel?

Better question would have been, which engine doesn't the 034105101S crankshaft from the AAN, ABY and ADU come in. The answer would have been shorter, e.g. MC, WX.

The answer as to what engines did the 034105101S also come in is very long and includes KU, KZ, HX, NF, AAR, PX, 3B, KV, HY, KX, RR, NG and 7A. Very common.

It always amazes me that the crank from my old KV engine (rated at 136bhp from the factory) wound up in all the 5-cylinder turbo engines... and that this same crank can be used in heavily modified engine with 4X or 5X the power of the humble KV from circa 1982.

The crankshafts are different. I guess a crankshaft from an old 139hp kv for example is not the same as a crankshaft from a AAN. But if you buy a new one from Audidealer there is always the same for all 5-cylinder motors nowadays.

Part code looks to be the same...
I think I will get one from AAR engine.

Only difference i have ever seen on the 5 pot cranks is that the oil ways are sometimes drilled at different angles, bit hard to explain without a pic, there is one on this forum somewhere from years ago

Crankshaft from AAR is the same on AAN.remember lower bearing is the same but upper one is totally different.
my crankshaft is shot from the stupid mechanic took the upper bearing from AAR on AAN.

I can get an AAR crank for free so unless you want to send it to me for only shipping cost and it has perfect measurements - no interest
