Depends on turbo, manifolds, fly wheel/clutch set up, sump dry or wet if you use the belt driven ancillaries brackets water piping?

I'm presuming he meant a stock engine James.

I think when I sent one over to Norway I quoted between 180-200 kgs for a complete engine package.

That would sound about right... best way to estimate I guess would be to add up all the components that are attached to it, some of these are estimates some are from experience:

              Block 50kg
Head complete with cams + cover 32kg
              crank 22kg
              piston + rod x5 5kg
              flywheel 14kg
              clutch 9kg
              sump + bits 5kg
              oil pump 1kg
              pulley 5kg
water pump, tensioner, cam gear 2kg
              EM 8kg
              turbo 8kg
              IM 5kg
              A/C pump + bracket 6kg
              PAS pump + bracket 2kg
              Alternator + bracket 5kg

Comes to 179kg is my estimate
