    EV14 sizes

Just found this on another page

does that mean that if you order the long ones, on the right, then you dont need the adaptors?

    Well, yes.

But it's a different thing where you can find long versions. Seems that all 60mm for sale are the short ones with extenders, but so what..?

well, if you do find a long one, it makes the fitment dead easy, while on the adapter ones you have to make grooves or use spacers and make sure the fuel rail is extra strongly bolted down etc...

I don't see the problem here? The standard one with a extender gives you a long one, whats the problem to fit that? Can you specify why you need to mod the rail?

the extender does not have the grooves to fit the clips that fit with the OEM injectors or conventional injectors. So you either have to make the grooves on the extenders, or find a way to strongly secure the rail so that it doesnt lift on high fuel pressure.

No way the fuel pressure gona lift the rail off. You don't have clips in the bottom end of the injectors anyway.

The 034 Motorport spacers have a groove for the injector clip, although it's about 1mm lower than ideal and I can't manage to get one on their without bending it to the point it doesn't hold on properly...

Agree with Vas, if you can get one 'stock' length and not have to mess with spacers and non-OEM look then why would you? It's less hassle. And the short EV14 with spacer has a little play in the fuel rail, so it's not a perfect fit. It's another potential cause for a problem that one could do without - one I'm yet to solve on mine, but I don't know how much of a gap there is yet - will document when I fit them!

Ill do the same once mine arrive. If mine are not long, and i have adaptors without grooves, would making new grooves on the alloy extenders solve the problem? or does it have to be combined with the fuel rail being pushed down?

Well, stock AAN injectors have a little play in the AAN rail, also green tops has it too... no problem to use them without the clips. But if you can find the long ones go for it, always better the less parts you have, but the extenders should not be a problem.

A80Avant, where did you order yours?

I have a set of EV14 870cc 60.65mm and extenders to make them 72 or so millimeter. My extenders do have a groove for the clips. The fit perfect in my NUKE fuel rail.

I'm not using the extenders because the fit much nicer without on the MTM intake so the are for sale. And i also have a black NUKE fuel-rail for sale

can you hold on to the extenders for me? how much would you want for them?

i will be having my EV14 shortly, so if they are the standard ones that need extenders and they ones supplied need modifying, ill might have yours!
