Coupe Quattro B2 - V8 or AAN?

Hi everybody.

I have one Audi Coupe Quattro, last model year 1988, and off course , have some plans regarding engine swap. Main "problem" is to determine which engine to use. This car will be daily/street car.
I can't decide between two engines, AAN or 4.2 V8 from first generation Audi A8.

What do You suggest and what's your opinions?

AAN transplant is a LOT easier...... but that doesnt mean that a V8 powered B2 CQ wouldnt be great fun too. Heheh it would actually be a great project and very driveable daily car without any turbo lag.

Apparently the V8 motors use same engine mount locations as 5cyl KV engine so its tempting... as long as the electrical integration doesn't put you off, but I can help on that. What instrument cluster do you have on that thing ?

You might also need to go with 01E gearbox on the V8 choice - dunno what clutch/flywheel combo works otherwise.

I would like to have engine with about 380-400HP

Is it possible with V8 engine?
