what is k24 turbo hotside made?

hi everyone,
is k24 turbo hotside made of cast iron?
just want to get the right rods to weld the hairline crack in one of my k24 turbo.

you also need to get it very hot before you weld it, if it is welded cold it could all go
very wrong.

turbo still work fine with little or no lost of power

if its working fine how it is with no noise/loss of power etc then why risk it?
if it ain't broke etc...

So how much power is lost? 0,1hp, 1hp, 10hp, 100hp? It's very usual that the turbine housing has some cracks. Bet you can't tell a different compared to a crakless housing.
