    Burning oil at idle...

    Hi all!

After made a full check of my S2, and upgrade it to RS2 specs, my S2 is burning oil only at idle.

The car is perfect, checked on the dyno goes to 318cv, but it burns oil at idle, only at idle.

If you floor the accelerator pedal, stop burning oil.

Anybody have an idea of what's wrong?

    Cheers

          Turbo?Âż?

The turbo is new! It only has about 1000 km! It may be defective?

I forgot to mention that before the RS2 upgrade did not burn oil.

It's possible that mobil 1 5w50 is too fine for this turbo?

          Thanks!

almost 100% not turbo. check valve guides and/or breather system (it could be blocked)

if you remove the oil filler cap and run it, (will run rough) hold the palm of you hand over the filler hole should be a small vac, if its trying to blow out then look at breather system

hm.. how much do you drive on rs2 kit?

5-50 is fine, but I will sugest 10-60 or 10-50, you don't live in country with polar winters and - 40C at january. you are in Spain , and there is 90% of year 20+C..

just ask your self? why before rs2 kit engine don't have oil burn?

why 10-60 ? have you tried bodt oil in your car ?
I can tell you from experiences that 5-50 is much better then 10-60. In healthy engine ofcourse .....

my good friend live at Adriatic sea (same weather like Spain) , he use 10-60 in s4 for a 6 years and his engine are perfect.
he said- in my car will newer go other oil.
I can't use it because I live at north of Croatia. here we have lot's of snow and bad winters with -25C.. I use 10-40 oil.

I didn't try 5-50 ,I hope that you know what is best for your car..

I checked the intake side of the turbo and no found oil. Checked too putting my hand over the oil filler cap and it don't blow out air, and no vac too.
