missing a crank pulley washer i believe...?

hey guys i was trying to crank over my motor finally and found that the crank pulley is hitting the block slightly, and im assuming im missing a washer somewhere between the crank pulley, and the pulley holding the timing belt.. anyone ever run into this or drop the washer, which washer could it be that im missing, and when you look from the top of the motor, the timing belt is super close to the engine so im guessing there might be a washer on the timing belt pulley., heres a diagram of it

i wanna say i need number 2, but that doesnt show anything of a washer, thanks for the help in advance guys

Did you, by chance, install a new crank damper pulley (the one with the rubber centre)?

This is what I am talking about (related to item 3, the 251J damper):

For some reason the newer style 251J damper (replacement for the 251H) requires a spacer washer to move things out and away from the oil pump.

The washer ist not number 2. it's not shown in the AKTE picture...

          it's named diamond coated washer - approx. 30€ - it's a friction washer

the damper to use with the washer is a little bit shorter on the backside than the other one...

for the other one, with the longer end, you can use the diamond coated washer from RS4 (0.1mm)

Item 2 is the cam that drives the oil pump, as I thought I had said on quattroworld.

Are you using the newer 251J Damper and therefore need the 034105193 washer?

I don't know the number on my damper... the damper is still the original part on my 94 ABY and it had the washer from factory...

Why is your oil pump made in KOREA, not Germany?

Here is a German made one. (Exploded photo from somebody on here, annotated by me)

Yeah I'll have to contact the builder and see which dampener they used buy i def need the washer, so just getting this straight the rs4 washer will work, anyone have a part number on that? And then this washer goes after the oil pump and before the timing belt pulley

                            yes of course (3mm thick)

the washer is between the timing belt pulley and the damper NOT betwee the oil pump and the timing belt pulley

oilpump - timing belt pulley - washer 034105193 - damper

the washer belongs to the surface of the crankshaft end right at the tip of the red arrow... on the picture, the washer is not in place yet...
