my rs2 is running rich so last night i pressure tested turbo side of the hoses no fault at all. blocked of crankcase hose and pressure tested inlet manifold hose no leaks at all from new hoses but cam cover leaks at 1.2 upwards is this my problem causing running rich and not hitting full boost levels
some advice needed please!

ummmmm uhhhh - if the 'cam cover' is leaking then surely the only way air gets in there is past one or more loose spark plugs.
This is classic 'air leak after MAF' situation where X amount (mass) of air is measured coming in... ECU calculates nominally X/14.7 amount of fuel to be injected... then air escapes en route to combustion chamber... target boost is not achieved and you end up with less than X amount of air to burn - and therefore too rich a mixture.Paul Nugent

During boost leak test, surely some air is bound to reach cam cover area as one of the inlets is bound to be open, some leakage past stationary rings through crankcase and up oil drain to cam cover. The seal on the oil filler is probaly not designed to take 1.2 bar pressure. Just a thought or am I missing something

In my opinion, if you are testing the boost hoses, they should be totally isolated. This includes blocking off the cam cover vent, the ISV, etc. and probably the PCV valve connection at the bottom of the intake hose. Here are my thoughts on doing this test on an AAN (adapt to ABY and ADU) (Note 2nd diagram under first):During boost leak test, surely some air is bound to reach cam cover area as one of the inlets is bound to be open, some leakage past stationary rings through crankcase and up oil drain to cam cover. The seal on the oil filler is probaly not designed to take 1.2 bar pressure. Just a thought or am I missing something

Here is a diagram showing the location of the PCV hoses and, in particular, Item 20, the bleeder valve (in the green arrowed area on the right of the diagram). Under boost this bleeder valve *Should* close, if it doesn't (dirty, stuck) then you will pressurize the PCV system (which will back flow to the cam cover, etc)
