Yeah need to see config for instanace under Outputs Fan. Water and Fuel Pump the Pump Off after Inactivity needs to have a value of 0.5 s or more could be you set it to 0
Who was the ecu bought from and did they supply a default map?

the default map was from marc swanson from efi express, i will go and save the map for you now and upload it in a few
the stock ecu is in my buddies running car, (when i installed the vems unit i had to swap over a wire and add an adapting wire and so forth to match up with the ecu from efi express, could that cause the stock ecu not to turn on the fuel pump?)
If you tell me which pin you swapped, I can tell you if it is possible or not.
You should have pulled codes from that ECU...
And for once I agree with Billman. Post your VEMS config, perhaps some simple parameter is wrong.
having trouble finding out how to post the config, its not the log file after i crank the motor over for a little is it? (could you explain some more how to download a config to send to you guys)
1. In Vemstune go to File->save config (while your laptop is connected to VEMS and the key is ON)
2. the pick up sensors on the flywheel must have a certain distance from the flywheel pin. Did you checked that out?
3. What flywheel did you use (some have reported that on the 7A flywheel the pin for crankshaft positioning is too thin thus causing problems.
4. Check that your Hall sensor is OK and works.
If you bought the ecu from Marc he supplies an adapter to put on the sensors so you don't have to pin swap personally I would speak to a4kquattro first before asking forum help

Ok i will get the configuration later tonight for you guys, and I'm using an aluminum flywheel from 034 worked fine previously
previously i ran the car on motronic, never with vems and worked fine with the aluminum flywheel, and the small pin attached to the back of it, (are you suggesting its not big enough for vems to recognize it )
apparently there where issues with small pins. I welded a bigger one on my 7A flywheel.
*DING*
No more calls folks, we have our winner.
Typically, this is the first mention of euroUrS4 having a non-stock flywheel and therefore a non-stock G4 crank sensor pin. (always good to fully disclose ALL mods before calling for help - he didn't even tell us he was running VEMS until sometime after the initial post).
The VEMS is very likely not getting a proper reading from the crank position sensor because the aftermarket flywheel pin is too small or too far away to generate the required signal. So I agree with Billman.

My apologizes for not mentioning all the mods completely forgot about that, however i's that a def prob or a possibility? And i's it possible to get anoter crank position sensor? That will work with the aluminum flywheel or does a new pin have to be welded i'n it's place?
