    I have central locking (but not remote central locking) - which works fine - but not the heated door locks.

    Looking at Paul's diagrams, central locking without remote uses fuse 19, central locking with remote doesn't use fuse 19 but has an inline fuse S111 doing the same job.

    In reality I guess earlier central locking systems used fused 19, later ones which may also have the remote didn't use fuse 19.

      @Dave et al,

      The fuse info I compiled is aligned with factory ABY & ADU schematics. To my knowledge, that detailed breakdown of the loom I collated is correct. What I have sometimes found is that some cars fuseboxes do occasionally have some of the 23-32 fuses shifted around... reason being it is easy to make a mistake and plug the carrier into any open slot.

      You also see it with the auxiliary relay panels where the factor sometimes uses random locations to equip the relay carriers - not as per documentation - very UNgerman and rather annoying.

      The really odd thing is I have loads of ABY with main fusebox relay #2 fitted - but of course it aint used for anything on ABY - it gets used on other B3/B4 models though.

      Finally - I have only ever seen the thermofuses on AAN looms - NEVER on 3B, ABY or ADU engine looms - you see them for electric windows / sunroof on the B3/B4 of course.

        Paul: I never really doubted your work on documenting the ABY/ADU loom(s). In some ways I thought it funny that the factory couldn't put the fuse holders in the correct positions, e.g. 23 and 24 instead of 24 and 25. Must have been a Friday.

        The original reason behind the post was to alert S2forum members to the possibility that some of their engine running problems *MIGHT* be due to a failing thermo fuse for the coils (this is happening more and more over on my side of the pond to UrS4 owners and their S64 thermo fuse). It seems that the factory switched to regular spade fuses for the UrS6s and never even installed thermo fuses in the ABY or ADU vehicles. This does not mean that cracked coil wiring won't short out on the cam cover and blow that S32 spade fuse. At least it will be an acute failure and not an intermittent failure like a faulty S64 thermo fuse.

        Thanks for the comments.
