Hi guys im about to change the oil in the s2 i have a couple of cans of mobil 1 oil that i have spare just wondering iff it,s ok for the engine read somwhere that its not recommended for turbo engines?????

ive posted on the thread saying its no good as i have been using it in vw w12 turbo engines and porsche turbo engines for years with no problems. one of the w12 turbo engines has now done over 150k with no issues at all, used to run it in a 997 cup car again no issues so still waiting to hear back whats so bad about it.

i can only assume its something to do with MOBILE 1 stopping using phosphates recently, from what i can find on the web???
anybody confirm this?
a few oil grades seem to be going poor nower days as i found when i stripped an A4 tdi to find the cam shaft lobes worn a groove from the followers as deep as 5mm!! and the followers worn through!!!!Last edited by WabTheKing; 19 September 2011, 08:40.Comment
