it is normal if the engine is cold.. after few minutes it have to drop on 1.5 - 2 bar.

When the one of the wire contacts from the oil pressure gauge sender on my car was corroded it showed a permanent >5bar. I just cleaned the contact and refitted the wire and back to showing 2bar ish when warm.
