    fuel pump problem

i was going to replace my rs2 fuel pump with a new one pn 0580254040 bosch which i have in my hand so i removed my old pump to find pierburg 895906091 the difference in size is huge 60mm approx bosch to 45mm pierburg so im thinking someone has changed the pump before fitting a std audi 2ltr 2.3 ltr fuel pump that would be why i cannot get the car to pull hard correct ?

The OE RS2 fuel pump is a 43mm pump so the Pierburg that you found is either OE or an OE replacement. The Bosch 040 pump, at 60 mm, is not an OE replacement but an aftermarket "improvement". You need the two part fuel pump basket from a V8 to install the 040. (BTW: why 040? Most people upgrade to the 044)

380 hp implies to me (with my fully RS2'd AAN) that you will be hitting somewhere in the 26 to 28 psi (1.79 to 1.93 Bar) boost. Since the fuel pump has to supply at least 3.8 Bar (for the RS2 Fuel Pressure Regulator) plus boost (e.g. 5.73 Bar), then upgrading to a Bosch Motorsport fuel pump is not a bad idea. It will help prevent leaning out and pinking at WOT (and full boost).

That said, going back to the Pierburg pump, the 091 PN you posted is not the OE PN
