    Remote Mapping ?

May seem like a daft question, could you not do a live re-map remotely ?

Just thinking around distance issues getting a car to correct experts, is there not technology available to do mapping remotely.

Not with our version of Motronic which is over 20 years old and uses memory chips with the values burnt into them.

Paul@S2Central has got close to this but only by extensive modifications and remoting the memory chips to outside the case.

No, because you do not have all the datalogging equipment, the emulators, etc.
And you don't likely know what knock sounds like.

The equipment alone to do this will be at least 600 GBP.
