Using Stu's pic above as a reference, they look the same.

How do i confirm the correct setting for my 3b, anti tamper is missing. Found daft things wrong like the crank breather valve fitted wrong way round so how do i know my wastegate is set correctly and hasn't been messed with ?

Is there anything like so many turns from the top, or a check using vacuum ?

If you have boost gauge, disconnect the N75 WGFV and see how much peak boost you get on WOT in say, 2nd gear. It should be about 0.4 Bar (6 psi) from the factory. If it is lower, screw the allen head screw down until it is in that range. If it is higher and you are not having problems, leave it.

            Boost overshooting then settling.
Like the car surges and then you have a drop in power, then back up. Like a yo-yo.

I agree. That was my symptom with the 1.9 Bar WG spring until I backed the spring perch upwards from the stock position. The "yo-yo" had quite a high frequency (e.g. several times per second - like a nasty stutter). You knew you had it and then when it was gone, it was gone (after adjusting the wastegate perch).
