Petrol in a diesel

    If its a new hdi get the tank drained and filled with diesel. The newer common rail engines need the lube in diesel. More than a few percent petrol will kill the pump....

            One of the guys i work with put 25litres in our shitreon berlingo van then just brimmed it with diesel. Drove about 10miles and it died. Had to get the tank drained. The mechanic said we were lucky as he had a berlingo in with the same things and it was knackered. Usually just dilluting it should be fine.
