    7A vs 3b, aan

    Hi..I have few questions..

I've got one 7A engine at my garage.I know that cams are different, but heads looks like the same as on the 3b?
What about empty block? What are the differences?Just crank and pistons?
I would like to sell those parts but don't know if I could sell them as spare parts for my friends 3b s2.

block is 82.5mm 3b is 81mm piston bore so unless he will be using oversized pistons...........

Head the valves are different and it needs maching for the water rail for the 3B

Can you exaplain what diference exist into valves of 7A and 3B/AAN?

Exhaust valves use other material to support high EGT value?

By this order i suppose so.

Some 7A engines use the same exhaust valves as the turbo. Other not.

you can sometimes see a part number on the valves, also I read somewhere that sodium valves weight less/more than non sodium valves(can't remember which way around it is)

Or you could take the valves out of the head and cut them in half and throw them in a bucket of water,if the water starts fizzing they were sodium valves

Some say from the design. The "nitride?" ones are thicker near the bottom.
