My RS2 that I bought in April suffers from a persistent hesitation and I still can't cure it. So far we have replaced in the last 6 months the air mass meter, the spark plugs, the cam belt and fuel filter. We have also checked and cleaned several earthing points and sorted a host of electrical issues. The entire inlet tract and throttle body has been cleaned. It's had a whole heap of unrelated parts replaced too.
The hesitation occurs at low revs, light throttle and is mostly there but not always. At full chat it behaves like I think it should ie it goes like hell. It runs super unleaded and has done 4000 miles since April with no real change in symptoms. We are now simply guessing what to replace next. Any further suggestions for how to diagnose would be very very welcome. No faults show on diagnostics.
