How many with a 3B engine have switched to individual coils, e.g. OE AAN, 1.8t, 034 HO, EFI LS2, etc. etc. by switching to an AAN ECU? If so, how did you handle the G40 Hall Sender, aka cam position sender? Did you use the 3B distributor (Hall Sender is the same inside, I think) or did you switch to an AAN head with Hall sender mounted behind the exhaust cam sprocket? If you used the 3B hall sender, what was involved, wiring-wise?

Is no problem with the 3B hall sender....remember that the early AAN engines had the hall sender in the distributor....
Ther are some wires to be changed(position in the ecu plug)....and some others you have to add..( for the coils).
Should work ok. -
Oh trust me I know all about the early AAN tuna can G40 Hall Sensor:

I am hoping for specifics on the wiring to make the 3B Hall sender compatible with an AAN ECU harness connection.RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan

All i know is that i installed an 3B engine with AAN ecu, coils..etc into an V8...and i used the V8 wiring...modified. The hall signal was used the one from the 3B dizzy. Is working without problems.Comment

The wiring is the same at the hall sender end.
I have both hall senders on mine, so I can get the car running on the dissy, then swap to the ABY cam sender. To make it easier to do any potential fault finding.SSComment

I thought I would some confirmation that the wiring was straight forward. Seems to be plug and play, AAN G40 harness connector into the 3B distributor. You will have to peel back that portion of the AAN harness (the part with the injector connectors and the G40 connnector at the end) to bring the G40 connector back to the other end of the head. Shouldn't be too tough.RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan

I *just* sent you a PM BTW. (Before I saw your post above). If you have a 3B S2 harness, it won't work with the AAN ECU (no POS outputs and multicoil power connections). I would use the ABY harness and peel the G40 connector back so it plugs into the 3B dizzy.RS2'd 93 UrS4 5 spd sedan

Tuna Can cap
I don't suppose anyone has the part number for the 'tuna can' plastic distributor cap and knows whether it will fit on a 3B distributor?Oh trust me I know all about the early AAN tuna can G40 Hall Sensor:

I am hoping for specifics on the wiring to make the 3B Hall sender compatible with an AAN ECU harness connection.
As I've ditched the HT lead setup it would be nice to fit a more compact cap and remove the old rotor if possible.

Steve: That question has been asked before and the answer is/was, the early AAN "tuna can" hall sender cap was never given a separate PN.
I have given this answer before: "There is no separate PN for the cover on the Tuna Can dizzy. Suggest either Chicken of the Sea, Ocean Spray or 034 (they sold a cover a while back)."
Still listed at 034:

However I think I will be looking for something like an empty tuna can based on the price of the over engineered 034 item! I will probably cut down the standard 3B cap and glue on a cover.91 Modded 3B
