Have someone tried the golf GTI afterrun electric pump to replace the original Bosch 0392 029 054?

The new pump could be better

the part number:
OEM number: 078 965 561
Bosch: 0392 020 039

Looks similar and its 25 euros cheaper.

I have had 2 fail, tops have poped off, these look better

You might have to modify the electrical plug to get that to work for your 20vT I-5 application.

Agree but similar does not mean equal. You might have to trim some plastic to make it fix.

Im trying to find a second hand pump just to check it, cause its a pretty common item in audi 1.8 5 valves turbo, 2.7 twin turbo.

If not, Ill buy a new one.. The original cracked the plastic area, doesnt have screws to open it, then the shaft was block..... total mess, unacceptable from a car with 100k and all the services done.
