1 year old thread but is what I'm looking for!

How about pump fuel 100oct mixed with 5% or 10 methanol - would that be beneficial from any prespective?

Or fuel + ethanol mix will be better?

I'm looking for something like oct booster mix but i'm not expert into this...

Try searching for Toluene on US car forums. A lot of the guys running big horsepower Supras or Turbo M3/M5's mix their own 'race gas' using toluene.

AFAIK you need a licence to buy it in the UK - again it is nasty ****, the vapours are toxic.

If you want to make the S2 cheaper to run, would you not jusst convert to LPG? Around 75p a litre, easily available. I just converted the S6 and am getting 20mpg varied driving. Only way I could fuel it.

Ethanol is also very cheap would that not be easier to use, maybe E50 or E85, I have been toying with the Idea for a while

Has anyone got any thoughts on home mixing of ethanol ?
