I recently had my cambelt renewed on my RS2. It ran fine both before and after the renewal but the technicians told me that they found that the old cambelt was on one tooth out. The assured me that they double and triple checked it prior to putting it back but they put it back correctly. 2000 miles on it still seems fine apart from a persistent intermittent hesitation that was the same prior to the renewal.
Whilst browsing this site I have read on the members cars section in the My Volcano Black RS2 thread this comment "and since I've already been helped a lot here with a boost problem (timing belt was put point to point, instead of one left)" Should I be concerned that it is not on correctly? I have read the PDF referred to in the sticky thread on how to change a cambelt but can't work it out. Could someone help me out with a clarification please. Also is there a sensible way to tell without actually removing everything again to look?
