W50 and W60 are used to protect the turbo bearings, as they're at a significantly higher temperature than the engine. For a road car, you are looking at a W50, as you don't get the same temps as on track, either a 10 or 15 fully synthetic for that environmental temperature range.

You should not rev the engine above 7500-7600 rpm on stock oil pump.
Also, with the turbo you have on the thing you do not need to rev it above 7400 rpm.
What I have understand it's usually cavitation that destroys these pumps, the thicker the oil is the bigger the chance is for cavitation. Also too high revs can make the pumpgear to broke in pieces. According to Repo the risk for gear fail is quite low under 8000rpm's and the risk rises really fast above 8000.

Ok good to know ,maybe the oil level plays a role too? I mean around 1 cm more in the engine oil level.
We will see Wich turbo we use

7800 then? Kai Bakken told me that 8000 rpm are ok in wet sumps

I take it you're upgrading the springs and even changing the hydraulic tappetsto solid lifter if you're heading for that sort of RPM limit?
Afaik the head was built to can rev over 8500 rpm. Pk motorsport did it .its a mechanical head with high lift cams. It was made originally to use with gt35 turbo and a 550 HP setup.

I don't know if this upgrade was done or not.... I could ask Peter
Dmitri, why you says the limit is 7400 rpm with 7682, whem for example Vadim had "608 HP " with the max power just where the engine cut at 7500 rpm in his old setup?
He told he was using 98 Ron fuel ,1.7 bar boost and safe spark timing. You saw the dyno draw...

Yes, this can be a problem. There is a mod for this, a restrictor in the oil line to the head. Havn't got any exact info how to do it.

I know but the risks do not outweigh the rewards on a stock pump. I'd say match sure you have good lifters rev it to 7500 and you would be happy enough. Which engine is this for?
Why do you want to rev this high though? really 7300-7500 is more than enough on these engines
Yes, on a stroker.
