Engine wont start....

Right chaps ( and chapess's... ) replaced G40 about a month ago and all was well for a couple of weeks, then the usual, turns over but no starty. Got the codes off it before it was replaced and now, both show 00515 but what does the B+ mean in the one from now? Wiring but which one , the one to the ECU?

Not sure about the short to b+ but definitely again something wrong with the hall sensor. Likely the wiring.

Unless its moved since I put it on, no. Also the FPR and the fusebox relay are activating...

Update...

Took to bits today and the G40 has broken off and bent the cam wheel inner bit that goes thro it...

Bugga. But not the end of the world. I bet you can straighten out the cam position shutter wheel with pliers and a bit of patience.

I presume the failure is the result of not crimping the "rivets" on the replacement BBAutomacao Hall sender. You might want to review this procedure (which is linked out of the G40 info that I pointed you to above) (Note there are words associated with each photo, pass the cursor over the photo or double click on it - note the use of the Phillips screw driver to *double* crimp the rivet, once and then turn the screwdriver 45 deg and then again):

I believe the problem is the head is a 7a head and the sensor alloy block has been attached slightly out of line.

Organise a date and we can get it sorted :tup:
