Street setup, RS2 turbo or something else?

    Hi guys,

I was wondering, what is the better solution for daily city drive URS4 with AAN engine car than RS2 turbo setup? I know that limit K24-7200 is 360-380HP, but what about torque? Torque is that I feel every day when drive the car, not the max HP on 7000rpm

I guess that after 20 years there is something better than K24-7200, with lower lag and better torque/HP values

Is it GT3076, or not, or something else?

    Best regards!

There is no wrong or right answer its what your prepared to have as an everyday characteristic in your car an rs2 / k26/27 turbo is the easiest upgrade to use in terms of supporting parts and readily available maps and using stock rods
A 3076 requires other changes to use it to it's full potential
    Stick with easiest route

I'd second Jamo, keep it simple and go with a K26/7 hybrid like mine. Get headwork done if finances allow - I got JP (RWD19T forum name) to do mine to stage #2 and off-boost driveability (i.e. below 3000rpm round town) is improved like night and day. Then adding a turbo that gives a little boost lower down again.

I used to have a GT3071R, was much more savage with it's delivery of power but had less torque inthe midrange. It was rediculous if you were prepared to redline it in 1st though, seriously it would kill anything through 1st /2nd with its stupidly quick spooling and less lag. Takes more mods to fit it, costs twice as much to buy and I had surging issues but the GT series is another option that will give good results.

I'm running 2871 on AAN.The spool up time is closed to stock K24 turbo with higher HP/TQ.the cons for this turbo has been known to be the surge queen.
the 2871's full boost at +3000RPM with 034's s/w.I believe there's tuners right here can be donw it with better result.Get the VEMs is sound the good match for any aftermarket turbos but the point of yours is for DD.Another alternative is getting your car chipped with some stage 2,2+ from many well known tuners.you'll have another 40-50 crank HP on your car so far that's best bang for the buck and good for DD.

For a bolt on, cost effective solution, the RS2 setup is very impressive but for more effort and money, more power and less lag can be achieved.

K24-7400 or HTA2871/0.82 if you need more with same response (but a lot more expensive).
Make sure you keep the standard cams though, or you will lose torque down low.

K24-7400 is what you want really...

I have seen Ruffiano's on VEMS, and know some other folk on motorgeek run them, bimmerboy had one running on a Ben Swann 2.5 rs2+ chipset, just wondering if you had tuned any.

I just got my intake hoses today so should get mine on soon now

Not that it's hard to map, but too lazy to port all the fast logging stuff over for one car.
