parts from S2 to 7A

can i apply intake manifold,exhaust turbo manifold or use OBX s2 manifold,oil adapter from S2 to 7A egine?I want to turbocharged my 7a and i want to save much money for this parts as i could. What u think?Any experience?
i want to ran a oem pistons and rods,but of course with very friendly tune.Head i want to send to shop and change crankshaft and rods bearings for a new one

Hi Tom,

Actually a friend have rebuild original 7A to turbo. He have 034 Injectors ( 30lb/min @ 3bar ), Intake Manifold 3B, EM 034 Motosport, turbo T3/T4, VEMS ECU.. no more.

Actually he waiting by Fuel Rail 3B.

I have 7A block, pistons and rods with other 3B parts and everything works fine for about 3 years

Yes, I have 3B head, I mean that 7A rods and pistons are OK for standard turbo setup

He use 3B Manifold without problem but not use water manifold 3B, use original of 7A. To use water manifold in 7A head you need rework head. In my Quattro i make it
Need open adicional 3 or 4 holes ( if a remember well ).

but when i use a 3b im,its not necessary to drill the holes for water manifold,isnt it?I think that i use a 3b im and obx turbo headers but i custom the flange,because it doesnt fit.Then i do a ic,use a injectors,change main bearings,rod bearings.Use a piggyback (ecu) and start and tune,this do a person what knew what he did.What u think guys?Any comments?I will be a very glad if You help me this way to collect the parts,which be fit and be ok.

A possible issue with a 3b intake on a 7a head is the 7a water manifold. It is a tight squeeze but you should be able to sort out a universal coolant hose.

I'm putting a manifold built by Hank Iroz on my 7a so the 3b may have more clearance...

I should have said that EFI Express sells the intake. It is a tight squeeze but I think everything will fit back together.

AAN intake is good option but you need rotate water cooler ( i think 45º is ok ).

In my opinion and to you, low cost project, i use 3B intake Manifold, 3B water manifold with head machined. With 300€ i think you make all.

It would be interesting to test how much the 3b water manifold helps. I am going to stick with the single 7a port for this summer.

The 3b intake with 7a port would be the absolute cheapest but I'd keep a close eye on temps.
