    >700 AWHP 4cyl.

    imma try this just one last time..... and i hope that people can look at things with an open mind and understand that not everyone has the same goals or ideas of how things are done. because everyone has different goals and methods of reaching those goals.

    motor is (of course) Audi 20v 1.8T stroker 4cyl. i put on a new intake manifold and just wanted to get some data for the people who produce it, SEM.

    last dyno was 603 AWHP and 438 tq @ 325kpa. not pushing, safe timing (we arent gonna go here at aLL).
    this dyno was 622 AWHP and 453 tq @ 320 kpa. just fixing fuel/AFR's to get data for this new manifold.

    the car went 9.90 @ 141 on a stock B5 S4 trans, with 603 awhp. the first 4cyl Quattro in North America to ever run a 9 sec 1/4 mile, and one of only two world wide. also, its one of only two 9 second Quattro cars in N America as well. the other one is a B5 S4 with an >800 whp VR6 turbo and went only .14 seconds quicker than i did.

    then, since this 66mm turbo is no longer part of my project (the people who make it suck ballz and have crap customer service thus i am changing) i wanted to hit it one time with a little more than usual boost to see what it does so i have a decent baseline for the new turbo. the old turbo is a BEP S366XL, T4 divided inlet 1.10 A/r. the new turbo is a Borg Warner S400sx 67mm FMW billet T4 1.10 divided . i should have went for the 1.25 at the time of purchase. oh well i will get it later. this new turbo has the same exact wheel as the new BW EFR 9180 turbo, but has an 83mm turbine rather than the EFRs' Gamma Ti 80mm turbine. what this equates to for me is the old turbo was 82lb/min and the new turbo is 94 lb/min.

    so here is ALL of the data. it is broken down in EVERY FORM THAT DYNOJET SOFTWARE HAS TO OFFER, since some people believe nothing when presented with all of the options, and US dynos suck and this dyno sucks and that dyno sucks and whatever.

    373 kpa peak. all with smoothing factor of 5

    uncorrected = 742.11 whp / 542.16 tq
    SAE = 716.22 / 552.20
    DIN = 736.40 / 567.76
    EEC = 715.92 / 551.92
    STD = 737.05 / 568.25
    JIS = 718.07 / 553.62

    now, any way you slice it, the car is making >700 horsepower to the wheels. the fellas saw a flash at the end of the run, but what they saw was the light of the shift light shining on Shannons face...

    i cant wait until next time with the new turbo! we will actually perform "tuning" and do some timing pulls, etc. this was, once again, cleaning AFR's and playing with a little boost.

      Sweet.

      I gave up looking at dyno figures because all the silly arguments and look at quarter mile times. As you're previous quarter mile times tally up with the previous power figs I'd say you got a 700awhp motor :-D. And the SEM intake is the nuts when I tested it so good move we usebit on our mk2 1.8t.

            How come you didn't go for the big Garrett turbos and went BW? Price or better match to your specs?
