      Hi Tom,

I think 3B EM can run only with exhaust KKK... and not with exhaust T3 of holset.

Experience guys can help you in this situation.

I bought at KKD ( Kalle ) EM to my HX40 Super.

You can have a k24/26 housing machined to fit the holsets but the 3b manifold will not support the HP they can give you.
        Go Holset or Go RS4

ok,thanks,so 3b EM i will not use . I know that holset have a T3,i dont know what flange have a 3b.I am searching for cheaper exhaust manifold, than KKD is.I know, that the quality of kkd will be proven, but still, turbo price is same as a EM price its kinda wierd .

I use a Holset since December 2008 and never had issues with temps etc. The materials used are the same as on the turbos destined for gasoline engines. That means Inconel turbine impeller.

Same goes for rotational speeds....On a super40 i.e. in order to bring it out of its map and exceed the rotational speed limit you either have to boost 4 bar and/or make over 700 hp and/or use it in a very big displacement engine (maybe over 5 liters)------these are rough estimates but they give the picture------
                    Go Holset or Go RS4

Max rpm on Holsets is mostly dictated by compressor tip speed. For the 98mm impeller that's 115k rpm, for the 86mm ones 130k.
Be the first to melt/crack a holset turbine housing or turbine rotor. I've been professionally utilizing them and i've never ever seen any fail due to fatique nor temps.
What does happen is oil coking on pistonrings at the turbine which will eat the cartridge, and compressor wheels eating the cover due to destroyed spherical bearings (bearing play get's too large) both related to soot particles in the oil, diesel engines on long term service intervals.

Holset is market leader as supplier for Medium & Heavy duty engines worldwide by the way, so reliability is no issue.
