    Coilpack help/advice needed

Hi all, some if not most of you know how troublesome my s2 has been right from the start, I need advice on installing the new coilpack!

It's an ABY a set of 5 2nd hand coils with the 20v turbo cover on them so it seems a straight swap however the 2 plugs I know go to either POS unit and the other two to the near the back of the engine. one is a two pin plug the other a three!

Any idea which way round these plugs go? I've already spent a fortune on these 2nd hand ones and last time I changed I just plugged in either in whichever way I think this might be what cooked my 2nd set

All help advice is greatly appreciated

    Regards Biggs

I don't think it matters. They're just the ignition live feeds to the coils, they don't trigger anything. However just check the bulkhead connections to make sure they both have 3 wires. Otherwise match the number of pins to the number of wires.

Don't panic. All you have to do is make sure that you install the POS connectors correctly as a pair, i.e. the 1,2, and 3 cylinder input and output as one pair and the 4 and 5 input and output as the other pair.

This POS diagnostic post will point you in the right direction:
