    Idle adjustment

    Hi,

Is there a way to adjust iddle speed on ABY? As it be űcame a bit colder in the morning, my iddle raised a bit and it doesn't want to go below 1000. Originally it was just a bit under 900. Anything to do?

It should stay over 1000 rpm when the weather is cold and the engine hasn't warmed up yet.

And it's a bit of that kind of a question as there is no such adjustment in our cars. The ECU controls everything.

Porkkis is right - it is fully controlled by the ECU. It controls idle based on air temperature, water temperature, whether your aircon is running amongst other things.

You may just have a faulty, dirty or disconnected sensor which is making the ECU do this.

Of course you may just have a faulty/sticky idle stabiliser valve (ISV) which is the device controlled by the ECU to set the correct position for airflow when idling.

        Pull fault codes first .

          All right,
Thank you. I'll go to the service to plug in the VAG tool. Again thank you boys.

As I said there is probably nothing to service as the higher idle rpm when cold is completely normal.
Do it if you can't sleep, I wouldn't bother.
