I want to rebuild my KKK28 turbo,


My bearinghouse of my KKK28 turbo is in very bad shape, does anyone know of what kind of turbo it is? here some pics of the turbo and type plate.

Dimensions of the turbine shaft are 10mm and 7mm

If you don't find anything cheap then:

1. You could use Dirko high temp gasket sealant there. It holds quite some heat (much more than the water that goes through.

2. You can weld it and then resurface/rethread it.

That would be a option, but the conection between the bearing house and hotside is also very bad!

My turbo has a KKK26 hotside, I fond A KKK28 on the audifieber forum, the call it a K26/27/28 turbo

From the nameplate of the turbo I found this. There are a couple more references but they all are from the same manufacturer and vehicle.

I had to try somthing so I boght a KKK26 turbo, i`m lucky because it hase the same bearing house. so this should be a K26 turbo with a K28 compresor wheel and coldside.

I think that thing may be a bit laggy. It has a 3270 57/81mm compressor.

At what Rpm should this turbo spool? what would be the max boost and HP on a 2.2l?

81mm compressor on a kkk centre section? Spool wouldn't be a word I'd use laaaaag be more like it

It depends.....what are the turbine dimensions? What turbine housing do you have?

I have a k26/6 and a k26/10 hotside?

I'd say you'll see 1,5-2 bar at 4500 in otherwise stock engine.

yes...if you use the k26-10 you will be good for 450+hp

this hotside wil fit a k26 turbo, I boucht it on ebay, its a duel scroll.

Is anyone using a quick spool valve? Does it work?
