RS2 Diff indicator

My car only has the rear axle part lit up, does that mean it is not running 4wd? I see other rs2 had lights on both axle. When I press the diff lock, the abs off light comes on as it should. I don't think one can choose rwd and 4wd.

That button is to lock the diff (only an option for the rear in the B3/B4s) AWD is fulltime.

And the C4 UrS4s. As you say, quattro AWD is full time, even back with the B2s. The only difference was the B2s could lock the centre and rear diffs. That was before Torsen came in as the centre diff. With the Torsen centre diff, it is never locked. But the B3s, B4s and UrS4s could (and can still) lock their rear differentials to help extract the car out a sticky situation, from a standstill until 15 mph or so, when it is automatically disengaged.

sorry guys, i still don't get it. If its full time 4WD, then all the lights should be on, like that attached photo. But mine only show the rear 2 wheels. What is wrong ?

Why does everyone on the internet need to try and pick each other apart? It is one thing to comment on a flawed way of thinking or technical misstatement but can we at least try to comprehend what is typed before calling one and other out?

I said locking the diff was "only an option for the rear in the B3/B4s" NOT [i]ONLY B3/B4s had the option of a rear locking diff.

wowow there shold be a green light in the middle of the rear diff when its locked. as above, you have a blown bulb (or two)

woosh, its comforting to know that its only the bulb and not the 4wd. Many thanks to everyone :-)

BTW, if indeed there is something wrong, will there be a warning signal somewhere ? In fact, my warning light "(!)" on the dashboard has been coming on intermittently while I was driving, but it doesn't tell me what's wrong. It comes on about every 2-3 minutes for 10 sec. Strange

Check the fluid level mate prob just on the level so triggering the alarm as you drive
