Yes, only very little of it, on the outer area of the surface.

Parts coming hopefully tomorrow.
Today I was doing last minute things before putting everything together and that included cleaning the breather hole in engine block. There is adapter where breather is attached.
What kind of that adapters inside is? There seem to be some metal blocking direct access to oil space. I'm guessing some sort of thing to block oil splashes to get directly in to breather.
I tried to clean up that adapter with wire, but I'm not sure how clean it is. I put compressed air there trying to blow any goo out there.
Has anyone had that adapter blocked?Comment

Okay, Everything put together now. I drove 50km test run, but can't tell yet if the leak is fixed or not.
Yesterday, when putting thing together, I also replaced the PCV - valve and the pressure regulator in breather. Or I was going to replace the PCV when I noticed that the new one in fact worked worse than the old one. The new one kept making strange sound when pressing air in one direction and it kept leaking quite a much on the other direction. The old one didn't make any sound and was leaking considerable less so I put it back instead.
Today, when driving, I begin to think that what if I remove the tube between intake manifold and PCV-valve completely. Block the both ends. That way the pressure from intake manifold cannot leak to breather and cause oil leaks. There would be still some vacuum since the breather connects to intake after air cleaner.
Anyone else done that or thought about it?Comment

I think I can post this although I haven't driven much. I already ordered the second camshaft, couple repair sleeve ready for waiting.
Before that I had changed the teflon type seal and it seemed that it was leaking and that's why I ordered those parts.
When I got the parts and started to change them I noticed that the camshaft seal was dry! So it seems that I've managed stop the camshaft leak after all. I hope!
Engine still leaks oil so now I'm changing the oilpump and oilpan seals hoping that it will stop rest of the leak.
Damn it was hard job to take out oilpan and put back. And I remembered that I forgot to turn locking plate 'wings' to lock oil feed tube bolts for oil pump. Oh well. I'm so not going to remove the oil pan anymore. I'm hoping that those bolts stay on anyway. If not, then I'll remove the oil pan and turn that locking plate.Last edited by maddis; 15 April 2012, 16:13.Comment
