    I will have to look into these speculations. Runs fine nevertheless right now. However I do have a 7a crank pulley on there too. I bought another 7a bottom end that I will be picking up this week so I will check that out too.

    I have a 151 belt. Got worried there for a second.

    147=3b/7a
    151=aby

    Etka doesn't list length for the RS2.

    Cheers

      Please keep us posted on the RS2 length.

      For the 3b owners:

      The 5 cylinder motors from the vw "eurovan" Come with a smaller water pump.

      The rs2 setup would not work because the pulley is on the oil pump on the 3b/7a motors and it's a seperate piece mounted to the block.

      I am not sure if the pulley is going to be the same as the rs2 unit but I suspect there is a very good chance that it will be.

      I plan on turboing a 7a head and if I don't get the head machined for the extra water manifold holes this might work for now.

      Cheers

          Looked into this myself, as above it spins faster and should in theory pump more water. The cam pully is also a different part number between ADU and ABY engine, i dont know if its the size or different timing. The parts cost more than the ABY bits so i didnt bother with them..

            Hmm well i could do with a heads up on this as if Audi went this route for 315 bhp i'd imagine it's necessarry for anything higher than 315 bhp?

              I have heard that the RS2 water pump has a smaller pulley as the aby one! Does anyone know if it is necessary? Is there any other water pump with a smaller pulley than the rs2 one?
