Need to ID this turbo!

My friend has just bought what he thought was an RS2 turbo for his Mk2 Golf show car project. I put him right straight away, but I'm not 100% sure what it is so he text me a picture of the ID plate. Can anyone help me on this one, I've got a feeling it's a Volvo turbo? But I'm just guessing at that.

Could not be a Porsche unit? What size is the out-let on the hot-side?

A couple of pic's of the turbo itself may help you get a definitive answer.

Still should be quite a good blower for a MK II Golf turbo conversion, I take it he's using a 16V model?

Say 182 bhp, personally I'd resell and just use a stock K24 S2 turbo

People often think the K26 are better than K24 which has been proven not to be true unless a hybrid.

Cheers boys, I'll let his know. I think he was thinking it was bigger than a K24. I've only got the one picture that he sent me. Yeah it's a very good project, the cars mint. He's using a ABF 2.0 mk3 GTI lump changed rods had the pistons skimmed to spec.

I spoke to him and he's getting his money back for the turbo. The engines getting an over bore then special order 2.2 pistons,so it will go like stink. Slight change of plan to last week when I spoke to him. He's going balls out on this one chrome, BBS RS split rims, Recaro interior at this moment it's on a spit having all the underside welded flatted and painted(underneath is going to be as good as the top when done)
