    ARP part numbers

Does anyone have knowledge of the ARP part numbers for Mains and Head studs for a 3b engine? I've contacted a distributor but they want measurements from the original bolts even though I've given them the engine code? I’m away working at the moment so can’t supply them with any details of the original’s.

    Thanks in advance

Be careful if you are buying from a distributor you will have to shorten one of the main studs yourself or you will crush the one way valve.

      The 034 kit comes pre-shortened http://www.034motorsport.com/engine-...-i5-p-343.html

Im looking at this place Jamo

Might be more cost effective to buy from here and have the one stud shortened than buying from the US and be slapped with import duty..

You know the guy who's doing the engine re-build so I'm thinking that they will know the crack with the one stud..

Right I've given the part numbers listed below to the UK distributor and they inform me that the numbers are incorrect and do not fit the 3b engine, has anyone bought them from the UK before?

They are the correct part numbers, no difference for 3B, order from America you will get the right bits

If you type the part numbers in search you will come back with various members who have bought that set

Think I'm might have to Jamo, got a right old numpty answering my emails. He says that he's previously supplied the ARP's with the above part no's earlier but they didn't fit the customers engine. I asked why and he says errrrr I don't know.

Be careful using P/N 204-5404 for the mains. Here in the US, most distributors carry these and sell them as "Audi 5 Cyl" application.

In fact, they are only 3.350" in length (all 12). Much too short as the threads will not even be proud of the cap shoulder.

Here is an example of the problem:
so i just got these main studs a couple days ago and they just seem strange to me even tho the box is marked correctly and was completely sealed(part # 204-5404), they seem a bit short. ive been talking with a few people but i wanted to see what everyone else thought if i bottom out the...

I've spoken with ARP directly and they are sending me an exchange on studs.
                    X11 of 4.300" L
                    X1 of 3.725" L

From what I can tell, the 'special' kit from 034 has the longer studs, with single shorted as I've specified. But an arm and leg...

So make sure you order from 034 (haha) or specify the correct ones to ARP directly.

You know what that rings a bell there were a few threads showing the length was wrong somewhere down the line the part got f up
I ordered mine from 034 as I knew what I was getting
