compression number on high lift camshafts?

Got my AAN for a compression test today.once i got the number of 5 pots,I was so

disappointed with the figures firstly.here's the number from 1-5.

    125 132 115 127 140 PSI. with 260 Deg Dr.Schrick Camshafts.

Last time i have done the compression test on July,2011.

    150 150 150 140 145 PSI. with stock AAN camshafts.

I'm just wondering if the high lift camshafts can cause a bit lower

number on compression number.theoretically, the more on overlap, the lower

the compression number?Hope it's not this time to do anything on my engine

for a big while. The car pulls very hard,no smoke out,few breaths to fire up.

just having some problems with PCV system and been thinking to get some

    catch can finally.

    Cams will affect it.
Then again, if you say you have "problems with pcv system", then your rings are probably worn.

Is your engine operating knock-free? How have you monitored knock when tuning your ECU?
If your engine is constantly running with some amount of knock, that will eat up piston rings pretty fast.

      Hey Dmitri,

yes ,My engine is running fine.Never experienced any knocks.Even i'm running on VEMS.

It's now just a bit tweak on iginition so far I would say most of the map is the basemap.it's all running on the safe side.I'm going to pull off Dr.Schrick cams in a few days.

How have you verified that there is no detonation present?
Have you looked at knock sensor data? Have you listened with a stethoscope?

If the answer is "no" then you have no idea how it's running.

If your engine is pushing oil through the pcv with a GT2871R then either it's running very high PCP (knock) or your rings are shot. Or both.
        Anyway, never mind...

High lift doesn't change anything, but duration will. Longer duration and mostly inlet closing timing will make a difference on compression test. Problem is that in your tests it's not the same change on all cylinders. Cyl 3 has a big drop, but cyl 5 is almost the same. You could try a "leakdown" test to see if you can pinpoint any problems.
